Grange, National Heart & Lung Institute , Royal Brompton Hospital, universitas of london: first , development of simple and reliable test will replace or supplement microscopy and cultivation of the tubercle bacillus, because at thhe present time there are no useful immunodiagnostic tests for aktive tuberculosis; second: development of effective vaccine will prevent the emergence of the open or infectious forms of post primary tuberculosis , because at the present time the only available vaccine, Bacille Calmette - Guerin (BCG ), is used for immunization , but it is far from satisfactory: and third: immunotherapeutic procedures will permit the lengthy and expensive courses of of chemotherapy to be significantly shortened, because at the present time there are no immunomudulators (drugs/vaccine) to enhance individual ability to overcome the infection
