The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of technology on smart tourism destinations and its effects on community empowerment within the context of regenerative tourism participation in Bali. Data were collected with an online survey using google form and onsite by distributing questionnaires to 100 business owners and managers who are actively engaged in managing various tourism attractions in Bali. A quantitative method was employed using Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis technique. The findings show that smart tourism destinations did not significantly influence regenerative tourism participation however smart tourism destination has a significant effect on community empowerment. Community empowerment has a positive and significant effect on regenerative tourism participation, and mediates the relationship between smart tourism destination and regenerative tourism participation. This study support communities involved in the tourism sector by enhancing business efficiency and productivity in promoting the concept of regenerative tourism participation within smart tourism destinations.
