This thesis discusses a man's struggle in getting
his basic needs in order to be a complete human being.
This man, called the monster, has to struggle because
these needs are not easy to get. It happens because he
has to socialize and get help from others in advance.
Therefore, the writer wants to know the result of the
monster's struggle to determine whether he can be a
complete human being or not. In addition, the writer
also wants to find out the effects of that result. In
doing so the writer uses literary approach namely
characterization, conflict, setting, and also self-actualization
theory. After analyzing the monster's
struggle, the writer finds out that the monster fails
to be a complete human being. Besides this, the writer
also finds out that the results affect other characters
in the novel and the monster as well.
