Dayak' s chair

One of the most dominant famous ethnic in Kalimantan is Dayak ethnic. Based an experts this ethnic contains of more or less 450 sub ethnics. Each sub ethnics has similar cultures, there are the art of architecture, dance, carved, sculpture, chisel, etc. On of the cultures that is used for this chair planning theme is Bening Aban. Bening Aban is a tool that is used by Dayak people for carring their children at their back. The style of carring children of Dayak ethnic is different from the other ethnics. Bening aban shape looks like a bucket. It is about 30 degree or 2/3 part at the outside. More over, at the bottom of bening aban, there is a board for enduring the child. To carry the child, the parents should it the rope first then wear it at their shoulder right and left. The material that is ussed for making bening abanis pelay wood. This kind of wood only could be found in Kalimantan. The philosophy of bening aban tells about parents hope toward their children, that are: long life, good personality, good character, and smart.
