The communication world has been developing fast lately. Modem was
successfully taken a vital role in digital communication using telephone line, the
most used communication channel people use for internet connection, via dial-up
modem. As DTE, people commonly used the PC.
To think about this, using only PC its feel so narrow and not efficient
enough, because using the micro controller, the communication for digital data
should be as good as communicate using the PC. Not only more economic, but
the transmitted data should be more secure, because user can develop his/her own
used protocol for this data.
After a few tests, this final project was able to prove that micro
controller such as 8031 which have basic capabilities of serial communication,
can function properly to transmitt digital data using standard modem 56Kflex,
with 0,000441 per mil error rate for stream data transmit. This particular error
can be cancelled approach zero with error correcting protocol provided.
