In July 12, 1810, two Netherlands Catholic Priest, Hendricus Waanders and Filipus Wedding came from Netherlands. This building was the first Catholic Church located at the corner of Jalan Kepanjen-Kebonrojo (Roomsche Kerkstraat/Komieieweg) in 1822. In 1899 this church was damaged and then moved into second Catholic Church of St. Mary's Born(de Twede Roomsche Katolieke Kerk), currently is the "Kepanjen Catholic Church".
