Voluntary turnover: cause and implications (a case study of PT. XYZ in Indonesia) [permalink]

Employees turnover cannot be avoided. It is impossible to have zero
turnover, but it is also bring negative effects when the rate is quite high. Indonesia
is one country which has high voluntarily turnover rate, thus it is intersting to
investigate the cause of turnover. Of the research, it is figures out that the
strongest factor causing turnover arc the essistency of career path in a company
and the pay and benefits provided by the company. Like it or not, employees
satisfactions towards those areas determines the number of turnover. The higher
the satisfaction, the higher the likeliness to retain in the company. Hence, it is
important for the company to pay attention on those areas because the turnover is
very costly, in term of money value, retained employees' psychological
conditions, working conditions and overall company?s productivities.
