In this paper, the writers discuss how importance
the use of effective advertising as a marketing strategy.
The writers choose this subject/article because they find
out that some companies already spent their money for all
kinds of advertising such as brochure, newspaper,
television, etc, in order to attract customer to consume
their product. But, sometimes the companies do not know
which one the most effective advertising media to
increase the companies sales.
The main purpose of advertising is how to influence
the prospective customer through media advertising so
that people want to visit and buy the product. Other
purpose is that advertising can make brand awareness of
companies' service or product in customers' mind.
By interviewing and distributing some
questionnaires to 100 customers in Galeria Matahari
Department Store, the writers are curious to find out how
far media advertising can influence customers and how to
select the right media for that company.
Based on the interview and questionnaires result,
the writers make the analysis by comparing them to some
theories of advertising and marketing management. The
result of this paper proves that using a good advertising
with the right media will increase good image for the
company followed by its sales.
